1. What HopRoute is

HopRoute is software that helps venues schedule food trucks and helps food trucks find venues. It is not a payment processor, employer, food-safety regulator, broker, or insurance provider. We just run the booking surface that connects the two sides.

2. Free to use

HopRoute is currently freeware. There is no cost to create an account, publish slots, accept bookings, list a truck profile, or contact other operators on the platform. We don't charge transaction fees and we don't take a cut of bookings.

We may introduce paid features in the future. If that happens, anything you can do today will either remain free or you will be notified in advance, in writing, with time to decide. We won't silently move free features behind a paywall.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for the accuracy of the information you publish on your venue or truck profile. One real person or business per account. Don't impersonate other operators, publish misleading addresses, or use HopRoute to spam other users. We may suspend accounts that do.

4. Bookings between operators

A booking confirmed on HopRoute is a commitment between the venue and the truck. HopRoute facilitates the connection but isn't a party to that agreement. Cancellations, no-shows, food-safety issues, payment disputes, and damage claims are between the two operators. We'll preserve booking records and help you prove what was confirmed, but we don't arbitrate.

5. Content you publish

You keep ownership of the content you publish on HopRoute (your truck name, description, photos, venue address, etc.). You grant us a non-exclusive license to display that content on HopRoute and to use it to run the service (caching, search, sending you confirmation emails). You can delete your account at any time, which removes your public profile.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use HopRoute to do illegal things, harass other users, scrape the site at volume, attempt to break authentication, upload malware, or evade country-specific food licensing requirements. If something on the platform violates these terms, tell us and we'll look at it.

7. As-is, no warranties

HopRoute is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it running, but we don't guarantee uptime, that bookings will be delivered instantly, or that the platform is bug-free. Don't rely on HopRoute as the sole record of a critical booking — back up important confirmations to your own calendar or email.

To the extent allowed by law, HopRoute and its operators aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. If we ever break something material, our maximum liability is what you've paid us — which today is zero.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time by replying to any HopRoute email. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or operate in bad faith. Confirmed past bookings stay in the other party's records even after deletion (they need them for their own bookkeeping).

9. Changes to these terms

We'll update these terms as the product grows. Material changes will be announced by email to the address on your account, with enough notice to decide whether to keep using HopRoute.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms, or a dispute you can't resolve with the other operator: reply to any HopRoute email and we'll get back to you.
